Friday Fiction – The Goldie

This is the first time for me to be participated in week’s Friday fictioneers for  Janet Webb‘s picture. I like to thank Rochelle for her fantastic effort.

My story is THE GOLDIE…

Sasha was mesmerized when she first saw him, the other pebble, a golden coloured round one, next to her and Yuri, her nemesis. A big nest was placed and then the golden one, between her and Yuri, Unbelievable.

Yuri is trying to make a conversation with the Goldie. He seems to be reserved, “quite the gentleman” Sasha thought and she couldn’t take her eyes off him. “ My Prince charming”.

It was night and she heard a crack. Goldie has pushed Yuri away. Did he just wink?

When you are not near…

My eyes have lost the spark, I want you to know

My body is colder, my lips are like ice

My hands tremble, my legs refuse to walk

My life has become a life of a dead, when you aren’t around

 

I cannot think of any food, everything is tasteless

I don’t drink at all, water looks like venom

My heart beats on and off, it has lost the purpose of living

My life has become a life of a dead, when you aren’t around

 

I prefer to sleep, my eyes are wide open

I look up and count the stars, I always count the seconds

I sigh looking at the moon far far away; I wish you are here with me
