Choice…

I do not want to walk behind you,

Nor in front,

I just want to walk along you,

By your side,

I don’t ask for complicated things,

No strings attached,

Just wanted to be your friend,

Just a friend.

But if you think I should not,

It’s your choice,

I have my pride to guard,

I have my life,

I have those who love me,

For who I am,

There are so many who care,

So many who trust,

To them I am me,

I am part of their lives,

It’s their choice,

This is yours,

I understand….

  3. Very honest, and stated simply. It’s also the best offer of friendship, no strings attached, no forcing somebody to like you, no judgment if they don’t.
